All profits from the sale of the t-shirt will go to the Cash for Kids Day appeal, to help provide struggling children with food and fun activities during the school holidays.

About the single

In 1981 ‘Ghost Town’ spent three weeks at number one and 10 weeks in total in the top 40 UK Singles Chart. Addressing themes of urban decay, deindustrialisation, unemployment and violence in inner cities, the song is remembered for being a hit at the same time as riots were occurring across Britain. Internal tensions within the band were also coming to a head during recording, resulting in the song being the last single recorded by the original seven members of the group before splitting up.

About the artist

Morgan Howell is known for his giant (supersize!) 3D artworks of classic 7” singles. He accounts for every crease, tear and imperfection to produce a one-off, truly unique piece that's almost identical to the owner’s original 45 but blown up to huge proportions.

Neil Diamond, Jude Law, Edgar Wright, Lord Lloyd-Webber and Ian Brown have commissioned artwork from Morgan, and some of the biggest music labels have his art on display in their HQs. He's also exhibited at the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition, the Q Awards, The Barbican Centre and The National Portrait Gallery in London.

As a self-confessed vinyl addict and music lover growing up in the 70s and 80s, it's perhaps unsurprising that his work has gravitated towards these iconic images of treasured discs!
